Spotlight on ... Tina Summers, RN

Tina Summers is a recent student of WVU/Hospice Care's Basic Parish Nurse Preparation Course. You will see some pictures of Tina's "mini health fair". Also featured is her March bulletin board, where the focus was on nutrition and exercise. She has made a wonderful start to her health ministry. Congratulations, Tina!

"Presently I am working as a Health Ministry Nurse. I make home, hospital, and nursing home visits, prepare 'mini' health fairs, prepare monthly newsletters, bulletin boards, blood pressure screenings. I attend medical appointments to be 'listening' ears when needed. I spend much of my time teaching individuals in our Faith Community on a one-to-one basis. Our next 'mini' fair is on Alzheimer's/Dementia. My church is Cornerstone Christian Missionary & Alliance in Morgantown." ~ Tina Summers, RN
