Advanced Parish Nurse Preparation Workshops
Beginning with the summer session, the Advanced Course will be offered in workshop format. The student may choose any 4 of the modules, which must be completed in 30 days. Additional modules through the IPNRC are forthcoming. Cost is $100.00 for 10 contact hours. The application and registration process remain unchanged.
The Advanced Parish Nurse Preparation Workshop is designed to further the training and education of current parish nurses who have been trained in the International Parish Nurse Resource Center Basic Curriculum.
The workshop consists of 12 modules (see syllabus) and is completed totally online. It is comprised of reading, discussion questions and assignment submission. Assignments and discussion questions are due weekly via email. The student may access the site at any time of the day or night. There is "chat" capability, so that students may interact in addition to the opportunities presented by the discussion questions.
The student must be a registered nurse, and have completed the Basic Parish Nurse Preparation Course through an International Parish Nurse Resource Center approved provider. This course will be offered during fall, spring and summer sessions. Enrollment is limited to 20 students. Cost of the course is $300.00.
